Reaching the conference venue

The conference is held at the Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB), on its campus 'Oefenplein' Etterbeek. The Campus is located southeast of the city centre. Please note that this campus houses both the Dutch-speaking Vrije Universiteit Brussel (where ESUG is) and the French-speaking Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB).

There is plenty of space to park your car at the conference venue. However, if you are checking in into your hotel first, we advise you to leave the car and take the metro to come to the conference venue. mapVUBsituering

Reaching the venue by metro

Take a metro on line 1A with direction Herrman-Debroux. Note that in the centre both line 1a and 1b use the same rails. Thus make sure to get on a metro that uses line 1a! Get off at �Petillon�. From there on walk to the University.

By Car

From the Netherlands (by E19):

• Drive towards Brussels along the E19 via Antwerpen and Mechelen.
• At the end of the E19 enter the ring, direction "Namur".
• Keep on following the ring direction "Namur" until you reach the next junction after exit 1 �Brussel / Tervuren�.
• At this junction, do not continue following direction "Namur - Arlon" but instead take the E411 in the opposite direction: "Brussel�.
• Continue on the highway you are now on, until you reach the T-junction at its end.
• At the T-junction, facing a fire department and the campus of the ULB, you turn right.
• Drive along the VUB/ULB campus which is now at your left-hand side. Enter the VUB campus at entrance 6.
• After passing along buildings G and F to your right, you should take the entrance beteen F and E.

from Germany (by E40):

• Drive towards Brussels along the E40 via Luik/Liège and Leuven.
• At the end of the E40 enter the ring, direction "Namur".
• Keep on following the ring direction "Namur" until you reach the next junction after exit 1 �Brussel / Tervuren�.
• At this junction, do not continue following direction "Namur - Arlon" but instead take the E411 in the opposite direction: "Brussel�.
• Continue on the highway you are now on, until you reach the T-junction at its end.
• At the T-junction, facing a fire department and the campus of the ULB, you turn right.

• Drive towards Brussels along the E40 via Gent and Aalst.
• At the end of the E40 enter the ring, direction "Namur".
• Keep on following the ring direction "Namur" until you reach the next junction after exit 1 �Brussel / Tervuren�.
• At this junction, do not continue following direction "Namur - Arlon" but instead take the E411 in the opposite direction: "Brussel�.
• Continue on the highway you are now on, until you reach the T-junction at its end.

• Drive towards Brussels along the E19 via Mons or Charleroi.
• From the junction of "Wauthier-Braine", follow the R0 direction "Waterloo / But de Lion".
• At the junction with the E411 (you will see road signs �E411 Namur/Arlon�) take exit "Brussel" (to the left).
• Continue on the highway you are now on, until you reach the T-junction at its end.
• At the T-junction, facing a fire department and the campus of the ULB, you turn right.
• Drive along the VUB/ULB campus which is now at your left-hand side. Enter the VUB campus at entrance 6.
• After passing along buildings G and F to your right, you should take the entrance beteen F and E.

from France or Luxembourg (by E411):

• Drive towards Brussels along the E411 via Namur.
• At the end of the highway, continue straight ahead, direction "Brussel".
• Continue on the highway you are now on, until you reach the T-junction at its end.
• At the T-junction, facing a fire department and the campus of the ULB, you turn right.
• Drive along the VUB/ULB campus which is now at your left-hand side. Enter the VUB campus at entrance 6.
• After passing along buildings G and F to your right, you should take the entrance beteen F and E.
