Reaching the hotels by car

If you're staying at Hotel Astrid

exit the tunnels the first time you come up (this is not the first exit, there is an underground exit before this one). The sign for this exit reads "Centrum/Centre, but it is hard to spot and hardly legible. Do not enter the next tunnel, but continue on the avenue which runs above the tunnel. To reach hotel "Ibis", turn right at the third traffic lights after exiting from the tunnel. This is the "Emile Jacqmainlaan/Boulevard Emile Jacqmain". After a while, you will see a square called "Brouckereplein/Place de Brouckere". From here on, consult the map below.

If you're staying the youth hostel "Jacques Brel"

Keep on driving in the tunnels. After the third tunnel (2nd = "Rogiertunnel"; 3rd = "Kruidtuin/Botanique"), leave the tunnels. This is the exit "Madou".

  • Immediately turn right!!
  • Immediately turn right again. You are now in the "Noordstraat / Rue du Nord".
  • You will see a square ("Barricadenplein/Place des Barricades").
  • The youth hostel is on the opposite side of the square.

If you're staying at the camping "Brussel Europa in open lucht"

Follow the directions to the conference venue. From there on, use the map below.
