Travel Information

Coming by train

For train info in the uk, including heathrow/london to southampton, please visit the railtrack site, www.railtrack.co.uk. If you click on the timetable button, it lets you select a start station and a destination station (southampton central) and a departure/arrival time. There is a station at heathrow or buses. You can buy tickets when you arrive.

If you arrive by eurostar, you're lucky! The train to southampton leaves from waterloo but you'll need to walk to another part of the station to get tickets and then get the train.

Note that in the uk, trains and coaches operate a different timetable on a saturday, sunday and on bank holidays.

Coaches

For coaches, visit www.nationalexpress.co.uk. The site is not very user friendly but it does give you full information. There are direct coaches from heathrow central bus station to southampton. You can buy tickets when you arrive at the ticket office but there's a chance that you may wait if the coach is full.

En-suite bedrooms are provided in the Southampton institute and reservations will be made by ESUG (if this is indicated on your registration).

Registration Fees

Registration with full accommodation includes an en-suite bedroom with breakfast, lunch, dinner, coffee breaks for 5 days and the proceedings.

Registration without accommodation includes lunch and coffee breaks for 5 days and the proceedings.

Registration deadline : July 31st 2000.

• Before July 31st:

Industrial companies with full accommodation	4500 FF	720 euro
Industrial companies without accommodation	3500 FF	560 euro

• After July 31st: ESUG cannot guarantee any accommodation

Cancellation:

90% refund before July 31st

70 % refund after July 31st
